Come home for the holidays with Norden Living as we celebrate our Danish roots during an especially hyggelig weekend. We’ll be serving mulled wine (gløgg), cookies (småkager) from our friends at Kantine, and licorice (lakrids) samples to spark your holiday spirit.
Note: Our showroom will be open during special Sunday hours (12pm - 5pm) on December 8 and December 22!
Art Opening: Ania Brzeski
Thursday, November 21, 2024 | 5:00pm - 8:00pm
On November 21, Norden Living hosted a reception for our latest art exhibit in the showroom. We’re excited to feature original paintings by local designer and artist Ania Brzeski, now on display through the end of the year.
Ania’s work explores the relationship between people and their environment, highlighting process and production as an integral part of her art practice. She has developed a predominantly abstract aesthetic as a painter and ceramicist, blurring the line between art and design within her creative studio IF A THEN B. PAST EVENTS
Mission Creek Wine Walk
On October 24, we joined our fellow neighborhood businesses in celebrating the resilience and community spirit of the Mission Creek District with our first ever neighborhood wine walk. It was a festive evening in the Norden Living showroom as people stopped by to sample wines and browse our collection during their stroll through the neighborhood.

Poul Henningsen Lecture with CEU Credits
On October 10, Norden Living and Louis Poulsen presented an evening lecture for design professionals. The talk covered design trends in post-war Denmark, and Henningsen’s inspirations, motivations, themes, and designs. Attendees received CEU credits and enjoyed light refreshments from our friends at Kantine.
Design Week Studio Crawl
In June, Norden Living participated in San Francisco Design Week, a city-wide festival that showcases the unique intersection of ideas, design business, and entrepreneurship that makes the Bay Area the birthplace of the future. We were excited to contribute our take on contemporary Scandinavian design to the week's festivities.
We opened our showroom during Night 2 of the Studio Crawl and had lots of design enthusiasts stop by for a visit. We offered samples of delicious chocolate covered licorice by Danish confectioner Lakrids by Bülow, and raffled off a Flowerpot VP9 portable lamp by &Tradition. It was a fun night all around!
