The PH 5 Mini, with a diameter of 11.8 inch, is a scaled-down version of the iconic PH 5 (19.5 inch in diameter). It was designed by Poul Henningsen (PH) in 1958, who sought to create the ultimate glare-free pendant.
The PH 5 is glare-free no matter how it is installed or what light source is used. PH 5 Mini is being launched in the classic white version and a modern white model. It is also available in six color versions, where the color is darkest at the top and gradually lightens moving down from shade to shade. The struts are purple on the ‘classic’ model and bronze-colored on the other seven versions. The reflector ring color contrasts with the other hues.
The fixture provides 100% glare-free light. Its design is based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The fixture emits both downward and lateral light, thus illuminating itself.
Shades: Spun aluminum. Anti-glare disc: blue, rose, green or red, spun aluminum Struts: Purple (for Classic) or bronze-colored, rolled aluminum.
