Workshop Chair

The Workshop Chair brings a playful approach to the wooden chair. The design creates a new perspective on archetypical Scandinavian design through its thin back shell and slightly curved seat that gives the chair its distinct look.

In 1997, Cecilie Manz graduated from Copenhagen-based Danmarks Designskole, with additional studies at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. A year after graduation, Cecilie Manz founded her own design studio, where she has established herself as one of Denmark's most prominent designers. Her work within furniture, glass, lighting, and ceramics has achieved international success and is sold and exhibited all over the world.

Material

Workshop Chair is made with traditional techniques that places emphasis on workmanship and detail. Frame and legs in solid wood, seat and back in shape pressed layer glued veneer.
